The company commenced working in this sector shortly after its incorporation as Nissho Iwai do Brasil in 1956, when the relationship with Petrobras and Braskem was initiated, through joint investments in the Petrochemical Pole of Camaçari, in the state of Bahia.

SDB (Sojitz do Brasil) acts intensively in the Oil & Gas (Upstream and Downstream), Petrochemical and Renewable Energy areas, in addition to the Agroindustrial sector, fostering Integrated Services Solutions (Feasibility Study, Purchase and Sale, Financing, Investing, Logistics, Risk Mitigation, etc.), and performing important projects in Mercosur.
